Keystone Pottery Camp

Keystone’s newest camp experience, Pottery Camp, offers the best of everything about Camp Keystone! In our new art studio, campers are taught techniques of ceramics by our master artist Muddy, and focus on hand building, the potters wheel, and working with ceramic slabs and glazing methods. Instruction centers around age and developmentally appropriate projects, and campers thus far have been working on “bug mugs”, pots of all shapes and sizes, and character pieces, such as the Angry Birds.

56th Annual Conejo Valley Days!

Who’s excited for summer?!?!? We sure are! But in the meantime, we’re keeping our eyes peeled for exciting family activities to keep our camper’s and their families busy until summer starts. This weekend one of our office staff came across a piece on the Conejo Valley Guide about the exciting start of Conejo Valley Days starting this Thursday, May 3rd!

Princess Loves Camp!

The memory sharing continues with Assistant Camp Director Princess, who takes a moment to share with all of us the beauty of being raised in a camp environment and how that has impacted her life and her love of educating children!

The Value of Summer Camp

There are few better memories than those made during summer camp! Those summer months when the days are filled with pure fun and excitement; and every day ends with a story that only your child can tell.

Nar Nar’s Camp Memories

Little did I know that one small moment when I was fourteen years old would shape the rest of my life as I knew it. During the summer of 1990 I experienced my first job, as a “Counselor in Leadership Training” at a local summer camp. Sure, kids were fun, the money ($11 per day) would fit my teenage “needs” of Friday night outings to the movies and the latest CDs, and of course extra socialization with girls never hurt a guy either. My first assignment - Tom Sawyer Island, the gold panning station to be exact.

Shadow's Amazing Moments!

Our amazing Directors are excited about sharing their camp memories that date back to the times when they were little campers. Shadow has graciously shared her memories with us and we’re so lucky to continue to have such amazing and dedicated directors! Over the years that Shadow has been with us here at Camp Keystone, we have collected several moments in time thanks to the fantastic developments in modern technology and we’ve decided to share a few of our favorites with you.

Looking for a Few Good Counselors!

The first Camp Keystone Open House is just around the corner! As we work getting our program offerings ready for open house, we have also begun collecting applications for our highly coveted counselor positions. Every year we comb through tons of resumes and applications looking for quality individuals who have the dedication and drive to represent Camp Keystone. This year we thought we’d ask our amazing parents for your thoughtful referrals of individuals to add to our already high quality staff.

Molding memories one creation at a time!

Keystone Pottery Camp is a uniquely designed pottery experience that will serve as an additional fantastic Camp Keystone offering in a day filled with instruction that parallels those of a real art studio. Every camper will experience the most stellar art direction from our talented and highly renowned instructor, Hannie Goldgewicht. Campers will learn various hand building techniques such as slab construction, coiling, pinching as well as sculpture methods, to create one of a kind pieces.

Slide into Fun this Summer!

Camp Keystone staffers just announced the addition of Keystone Mining, and we aren’t stopping there! The Grand Pooh Bah has acquired another incredible program activity to enhance the experience of our campers and we are so excited to introduce the outstanding Keystone Alpine Slide!

There are Good Prospects of Amazing New Activities at Camp Keystone!

Every year our staff looks for new and exciting ways to engage and entertain our campers. While Camp Keystone is already the best camp around we strive to always do better! And we’ve got a NEW activity for our campers!

We’d like to introduce…Keystone Mining!
